How You Can Help

The Viola Blythe Center relies on the generosity of residents, schools, service organizations, churches and businesses for volunteers, funds and supplies. The services we provide and the families we help would not be possible without your help. We are always in need of food, clothing and financial assistance to sustain our programs. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and are always welcome. Listed below are some of the ways you can help. Please call us (510) 794-3437 and we can discuss your ideas or suggestions.

Holiday Programs

During the holiday season, our volunteers coordinate food pick-up and distribution, collect toys and wrap, help at the Children’s Christmas Party and participate in our Adopt-a-Family Program. Volunteers are the backbone of the Viola Blythe Community Service Center. There are many opportunities for volunteering, including volunteering at the Center processing requests, sorting food and clothing, stocking shelves, planning holiday activities and coordinating food collections.

S.H.A.R.E.S. – Supporting Humanities, Arts, Recreation, Education & Sports in our community
